Requirements for Command Execution
• The command entry must conform to command syntax.
• All object values must be valid. See object requirements for details.
• All parameter values must be valid. See parameter requirements for details.
• The command entry must conform to command syntax.
• The service set must be valid.
• The name must be less than or equal to 30 characters.
• The interface must be valid.
• The library ports must be valid.
• The library emulation and drive emulation must be valid.
• The drive ports must be valid.
• The number of slots must be between 0 and 16384.
• The cartridge size must be valid.
• The number of drives must be between 0 and 192.
• If the interface is iSCSI, an iSCSIName must be defined.
• If iSCSI parameters are defined, the interface must be iSCSI.
• If Fibre Channel parameters are defined, the interface must be Fibre Channel.
• If the interface is iSCSI, the iSCSIName must be defined.
• If CHAP initiator log on is enabled, an initiator user name and password must be defined.
• If CHAP target log on is enabled, and target user name and password must be defined.
• If tAuthenticationEnable is yes, then tAuthentication must also be yes.
• The WWPN and WWNN must be valid.
• The number of slots and drives can never be greater than that defined in the library emulation
(if the library emulation is Generic, this does not apply).

Upon successful completion of the command, the following is displayed:

• If any of the command execution requirements fail, command execution terminates, the cartridge
is not added to the library and one of these error messages is displayed:
