HP StoreOnce Backup System CLI Reference Guide
• subnet – This is the user-specified subnet name (required).
default {yes | no} – This parameter sets this subnet as the default subnet.◦
◦ netmask <netmask> –This parameter specifies the subnet mask in x.x.x.x format.
◦ domain <domain> – This parameter specifies the domain name.
◦ portset <portset> – This parameter indicates the port set name to use for this subnet.
◦ netusage {mgmt | data | both} – This parameter indicates whether the network traffic is
management, data, or both.
◦ gateway – This parameter specifies the gateway IP address.
◦ vlantag – This parameter specifies the VLAN tag decimal number (2 - 4094).
• netmask – This optional parameter defines the netmask. If the IPAddr value is, DHCP, a value
is not required for netmask.
• gateway – This optional parameter defines the gateway for the subnet configuration.
• portset – This parameter creates a new port set.
• bonding – This parameter defines how the multiple ports are bonded. The supported bonding
modes and the default mode differ between StoreOnce systems; see the table below for the
list of supported modes. If only one port is defined, the bonding value should be undefined.

• DataVIF – This optional parameter defines the Data VIFs to be used on the nodes in a multiple
node system. The value consists of a range of IP addresses. The range is defined by two IP
addresses separated by a dash indicating the beginning and end of the IP range.
• ClusterVIF – This optional parameter defines a Management VIF. The value is an IP address.
The management console and GUI interface respond to communication to this IP address in
this subnet configuration.
Requirements for Command Execution
• The command entry must conform to command syntax.
• All object values must be valid. See object requirements for details.
• All parameter values must be valid. See parameter requirements for details.
Successful Command Output
Upon successful completion of the command, information on the external network configuration is
displayed.
Command Operation during Abnormal Conditions
If the command does not conform to the required syntax, the following is displayed:
Command Failed - the command does not conform to the required syntax,
SYNTAX, where SYNTAX is the command syntax as described under Command Syntax in this
section.
