Configurable parts
When replacing server parts use the HP ProLiant DL380 G7 Maintenance and Server guide, but
be aware of the following HP StoreOnce Backup System specific information:

IMPORTANT: When replacing the motherboard (or individual cards) be sure to always replace
cards into the same slot from which they were removed. It is also important to set BIOS and iLO
settings. See BIOS settings (page 24), Reconfiguring iLO (page 23) and Reconfiguring 1GbE MAC
addresses (page 25).
Server component replacement process
PSU and HDD
These two items are hot-swappable. Order the correct replacement part as shown in the table on
the previous page and follow the instructions in the HP ProLiant DL380 G7 Maintenance and Server
guide.
IMPORTANT: If changing a power supply, care must be taken to ensure that there is no interference
with any of the PDUs and power cabling.
