HP StoreOnce B6200 Maintenance and Service Guide (February, 2014)

4. Repeat these two steps to find the address of the other three 1GbE ports,eth1, eth2 and
eth3, and update the HWADDR in the associated ifcfg files.
Updating motherboard components firmware
If a motherboard is replaced and the component firmware is at a different revision, this can be
manually updated using the smart components stored on the system.
1. Log in to the node and access the shell via the hpsupport role.
cd /opt/hp/cluster_update/firmware
The required scexe files will be in either the new or the applied folder
2. Run the appropriate scexe for the component firmware you wish to update. For example:
For P410i SmartArray: ./DL360G7_SMARTARRAY.scexe
For BIOS: ./DL360G7_BIOS.scexe
For iLO3: ./DL360G7_ILO.scexe
For NIC Card: ./DL360G7_NETWORK.scexe
Other firmware components are available within this folder:
For 500GB HDDs within server - ./SASDISK_500GB.scexe
For P2000 Controller - ./P2000G3_array.scexe
Replacing both system disks
If a problem has occurred that has required you to replace both system disks in a node, it is possible
to re-image the node without losing all data and configuration settings. This is done using the QR
ISO image, but be aware of the following additional points:
StoreOnce software v3.9.0 and later: If the customer has applied the Security license on the
couplet, make sure that a copy of the keystore file is available. This file contains encryption
keys for VTL libraries and Catalyst stores and must be restored once the node has been
re-imaged.
All software versions: Connect a monitor and keyboard directly to the VGA output and USB
port of the node that has the replacement disks and run the Quick Restore process, as described
in Using the StoreOnce QR ISO image (page 56). When the auto-installation script runs, it
will detect the existing cluster. You should always select the option to Join existing cluster.
StoreOnce software v3.9.0 and later: If the customer has encrypted libraries or Catalyst stores
on the other node within the couplet, once quick restore is complete you must restore the
keystore to enable the re-imaged node to work with the encrypted devices, for example if
failover occurs. See the HP StoreOnce Backup CLI Reference Guide for more information
about the StoreOnce CLI commands, config save keystore and config restore
keystore.
Replacing a Fibre Channel card
No further configuration is required when replacing the Fibre Channel card.
Replacing a 10GbE card
1. Shutdown the node, replace the card and power up the node.
2. The networking needs to be reconfigured to assign the new MAC addresses for the replacement
card, which will be:
For the 10GbE card in Slot 1: eth4 and eth5
For the 10GbE card in Slot 2: eth6 and eth7
