Setting Up the Tablet PC
1. Select Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet
Connections > Network Connections.
2. Right-click Wireless Network Connection, then select
Properties.
3. On the Wireless Networks tab, clear the Use Windows to
configure my wireless network settings check box.
4. Select OK.
The Windows automatic wireless network configuration utility is
disabled until you enable it again.
For additional information about the Windows automatic
wireless network configuration utility, refer to Windows Help and
Support.
After the Windows utility has been disabled, refer to “Installing
Your Wireless LAN Utilities and Locating Documentation,” for
instructions on installing the appropriate HP-preloaded utility for
your wireless device.
Determining Your Wireless LAN Device
Before you can install the utility, you must determine which
wireless LAN device has been installed on the tablet PC. To
determine which wireless device is installed:
■ Find the appropriate logo on the tablet PC. An
Intel® Centrino™ logo label indicates that the
tablet PC contains an Intel wireless device.
■ Locate your tablet PC wireless device information:
Select Start > My Computer > Right click on the window >
Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager > Network
Adapters.

You must install the software utility for your wireless LAN device
before you can use it. Refer to “Installing Your Wireless LAN
Utilities and Locating Documentation,” in the following section.
