8. Run the following command to migrate the database to the shared disk:
installation-folder-of-HP-XP7-Command-View-Advanced-Edition\Base64\bin\hcmds64dbclustersetup
/createcluster /databasepath target-folder-for-recreating-database/
exportpath target-folder-for-storing-database /auto
• createcluster
This option changes the HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product from a non-cluster
configuration to a cluster configuration.
• databasepath
Specify the folder in which you want to recreate the database. Use an absolute path to a
folder on the shared disk. The path name cannot exceed 63 bytes.
These characters can be specified in the path: A to Z, a to z, 0 to 9, period (.), underscores
(_). Additionally, backslashes (\), colons (:), or forward slashes (/) can be used as path de-
limiters.
• exportpath
Specify the folder in which you want to store the database. Use an absolute path to a folder
on a local disk. The path name must not exceed 63 bytes.
These characters can be specified in the path: A to Z, a to z, 0 to 9, period (.), underscores
(_). Additionally, backslashes (\), colons (:), or forward slashes (/) can be used as path de-
limiters.
• auto
Automatically stops or starts HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition services.
NOTE:
• If you run the hcmds64dbclustersetup command, the setting of the port number
used by HiRDB is changed back to the default (22032/tcp).
• If target-folder-for-storing-database already exists, empty or delete the
folder.
• Do not disconnect the shared disk from the active node until the hcmds64dbcluster-
setup command finishes successfully.
• If you restart the server after the hcmds64dbclustersetup command has finished
abnormally, the node to which the shared disk connects might switch to the standby node.
9. On the standby node, run the following command to set the database on the shared disk as the
database to be used:
installation-folder-of-HP-XP7-Command-View-Advanced-Edition\Base64\bin\hcmds64dbclustersetup
/createcluster /databasepath target-folder-for-recreating-database/
exportpath target-folder-for-storing-database /auto
For details about the options that can be specified for the hcmds64dbclustersetup command,
see step 9.
For databasepath, specify the same folder as the one being used by the active node to recreate
the database.
10. On both the active and standby nodes, verify that the HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition
product services have stopped.
For details about stopping the services, see the HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition
Administrator Guide.
