Suppressing failover by using the cluster management application
Take HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition services offline, and then suppress failover of the
resource group.
1. On the active node, bring online the resource group in which the HP XP7 Command View
Advanced Edition product services are registered.
2. Use the cluster management application on the active node to take the following services offline:
Upgrading from v7.6.1 or earlier:
HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
DeviceManagerServer
HCS Device Manager Web Service (if you are upgrading or overwriting an installation from
v7.0 or later)
HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product resources other than those listed here.
Upgrading from v8.0.0 or later:
HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
DeviceManagerServer
HCS Device Manager Web Service
HBase 64 Storage Mgmt Common Service
HBase 64 Storage Mgmt SSO Service
HBase 64 Storage Mgmt Web Service
HBase 64 Storage Mgmt Web SSO Service
HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product resources other than those listed here.
3. Stop the installed HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product services.
For details about stopping the services, see the manual that corresponds to the version of the HP
XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product that you are using.
4. Use the cluster management application on the active node to take the following service offline:
Upgrading from v7.6.1 or earlier:
HiRDB/ClusterService_HD0
Upgrading from v8.0.0 or later:
HiRDB/ClusterService_HD1
