14. Use the cluster management application to select the resource group in which the HP XP7
Command View Advanced Edition product services are registered. Right-click the selected resource
group and from the menu, move the resource group to the standby node.

Installing HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition on the standby node
Install HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition on the standby node, and then change the
environment configurations of HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition products.
Prerequisites
• Specify the same installation location as the one specified on the active node.
• If a cluster environment has been configured for another HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition
product, specify the logical host name for the management server IP address (the virtual host name
assigned to the cluster management IP address). If a cluster environment has not been configured
for any other HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product, specify the host name IP address
of the standby node.
1. Using the GUI, register the licenses for the products you want to use.
• Access the IP address of the standby node.
• A license key must be entered for each product that is installed.
2. Use a text editor to create a cluster configuration file. This step is not required if a cluster
environment is already configured for other HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition products.
Specify the following items in the cluster configuration file:
mode=standby
virtualhost=logical-host-name
onlinehost=active-node-host-name
standbyhost=standby-node-host-name
Save the file as cluster.conf in
installation-folder-of-HP-XP7-Command-View-Advanced-Edition\Base64\
conf.
NOTE:
• For virtualhost, onlinehost, and standbyhost, an IP address cannot be
specified. Also, verify that an IP address can be resolved from the host name.
• The IP address that is assigned to the logical host name specified in virtualhost
must be enabled and accessible.
