Windows:
• Do not include consecutive spaces.
• Do not include a period or space at the end of a folder name.
• Do not use parentheses, except when referring to a folder that includes the
character string x86.
• Do not include a symbolic link and junction for the installation folder.
• Do not specify the root of a drive as the destination.
• Do not specify a network drive.
Linux:
Do not include a path delimiter (/) at the end of the directory path.

Management server information
Install XP7 Command View AE on the management server. To access the management server from
the web client, include the host name or IP address in the URL.
• When specifying the host name, verify that the management server host name is 128 bytes max-
imum.
• When using an IP address to access a management server with multiple NICs, use the IP address
for the system connected to the management client.

Memory heap size for Device Manager server
The value that is set for the memory heap size depends on the number of LDEVs managed by HP XP7
Command View Advanced Edition products.
Specify a memory heap size that is appropriate for the number of LDEVs.
