RunZeroPageReclaim
RunZeroPageReclaim performs a zero-page reclaim operation, which returns unused capacity in
THP/Smart volumes (virtual volumes).
NOTE:
This command can be used only with HP XP7, P9500, and XP24000/XP20000. The microcode version
required for XP24000/XP20000 is 60-07-00-XX/XX or later.
Zero-page reclaim can be performed for THP/Smart volumes that satisfy either of the following
conditions:
The THP/Smart volumes do not constitute a copy pair.
The THP/Smart volumes are in a Continuous Access or Continuous Access Journal copy pair.
Zero-page reclaim operations can be performed on HP XP7, P9500 (with a microcode version of
70-02-00-XX/XX or later), and XP24000/XP20000.
The THP/Smart volumes are in a Business Copy copy pair.
Zero-page reclaim operations can be performed on HP XP7, P9500 (with a microcode version of
70-05-02-XX/XX or later ) when the status of the pair volumes is Split (that is, status for the
ReplicationInfo instance is 16).
You can use the GetZeroPageReclaimStatus command to check whether a zero-page reclaim
operation has finished.
