DescriptionStatusParameter name
New CLPR number
You can specify this parameter if a path has not been
assigned to the THP/Smart volume. This parameter cannot
be specified concurrently with the following parameters:
capacity
tieringpolicy
tierrelocation
capacitytype
newpageassignmenttier
relocationpriority
You can specify this parameter only for HP XP7 or P9500
(microcode version 70-06-09-XX/XX or later).
If the specified CLPR number is not in the storage system, an
error occurs. The CLPR number in the storage system can be
obtained from the execution results of the
GetStorageArray (subtarget not specified) command.

New page assignment tier
Specify the tier to which new pages should be preferentially
assigned in the Smart pool.
One of the following values can be specified. The values are
not case-sensitive.
High: Assign new pages preferentially to a higher tier
Middle: Assign new pages preferentially to a middle
tier. (If only two tiers are in use, assign to the higher tier.)
Low: Assign new pages preferentially to a lower tier
If the tieringpolicy parameter is used to apply the tiering
policy, the tier to which new pages are assigned varies
depending on the tiering policy and the parameter described
here.
If the applied tiering policy is to place data in all tiers:
New pages are assigned according to the value spe-
cified for this parameter.
If the applied tiering policy is to preferentially place data in
two tiers:
According to the tiering policy, new pages are first as-
signed to the two tiers of high priority for data place-
ment, and then to other tiers sequentially.
If the value of this parameter is High or Middle, new
pages are assigned to the higher tier of the two tiers of
high priority for data placement. If the value of this
parameter is Low, new pages are assigned to the lower
tier of the two tiers of high priority for data placement.
If the applied tiering policy is to preferentially place data to
one tier:
This parameter is ignored. New pages are assigned
according to the tiering policy.
For P9500, the microcode version must be 70-03-30-XX/XX
or later when this option is specified.
