HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition CLI Reference Guide (TK981-96006, May 2014)

DescriptionStatusParameter name
Buffer space for hardware tier relocation (%)
Specify how much work space the storage system can use for
data relocation for each hardware tier of a Smart pool. Before
you specify this parameter, check how many hardware tiers the
Smart pool has. You can check the number of hardware tiers by
using the GetStorageArray (subtarget=Pool) command.
You can specify an integer from 2 to 40. However, this parameter
cannot be specified together with any parameters other than
model, serialnum, poolid, or
bufspacesfornewpageassignment.
The following uses a three-tier Smart pool as an example of how
to specify this parameter.
To specify all tiers:
Specify a set of values such as 4,6,8 for all tiers, starting
with tier 1, by using commas (,) as separators.
To specify values while omitting tiers that are not to be changed:
Specify a value for the tiers that you want to change, starting
with tier 1, by using commas (,) as separators. Note that
the comma before a specified value cannot be omitted.
For example, if you want to change the value of tier 2 only,
specify a value such as ,6 to omit the specifications for tier
1 and tier 3.
You can specify this parameter in the following situations:
When a Smart pool is already created
For P9500, when the microcode version is 70-02-50-XX/XX
or later

THP/Smart pool label
You can use the following characters:
A-Z a-z 0-9 ! # $ % & ' ( ) + - . = @ [ ] ^ _ ` { } ~ and
spaces
A label character string cannot begin or end with spaces.
The following number of characters can be specified:
HP XP7: 1-32 bytes
P9500:
If you want to apply the label to the storage system: 1-32
bytes
If you do not want to apply the label to the storage system:
0-64 bytes
Other storage systems: 0-64 bytes
An error occurs if the same THP/Smart pool label is used more
than once.
This parameter must be specified if the value of the
reflectoption parameter is true.
For HP XP7, the label information is applied to the storage system.
For P9500, you can select whether to apply the label information
to the storage system by using the reflectoption parameter.
For other storage systems, the label information is not applied to
the storage system.
