Parameter values to obtain in advance
serialnum and model
Obtain these values from the execution result of the GetStorageArray command. In the execution
result, use the arrayType value or the displayArrayType value to specify the model para-
meter, and use the serialNumber value to specify the serialnum parameter.
saobjid
Obtain this value from the execution result of the GetStorageArray command. Set the value
of objectID, obtained from the execution result, into the saobjid parameter.

DeleteVirtualVolume
DeleteVirtualVolume deletes a THP/Smart volume.
NOTE:
This command can be used only with HP XP7, P9500, and XP24000/XP20000.
For HP XP7, P9500, and XP24000/XP20000, to delete a THP/Smart volume, the following conditions
must be satisfied:
• The THP/Smart volume does not have any paths.
• To delete specified THP/Smart volumes, Volume Management must be installed in the storage
system.
• The THP/Smart volume has a guard mode of Read/Write.
NOTE:
• For HP XP7, P9500, and XP24000/XP20000, if you delete the specified virtual parity group, the
virtual parity group and the THP/Smart volumes contained in that virtual parity group are also
deleted.
• For HP XP7 and P9500, if you delete specified THP/Smart volumes, the virtual parity group that
contains the THP/Smart volumes is also deleted.
• For XP24000/XP20000, if you delete specified THP volumes, you cannot delete the virtual parity
group that contains the THP volumes.
