HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition 8.0.0-01 Release Notes
AddHostStorageDomain creates an unusable host group
The CLI command, AddHostStorageDomain creates an unusable host group for the user executing
the command if the user has permission for a User-defined resource group.
If a user who has permission for a User-defined resource group executes the CLI command,
AddHostStorageDomain without the domain parameter, a host group with a unusable domain ID
for the user might be created. Therefore, any operation on the host group by the user fails with
KAIC90083-E (error code=2510). If this situation has already occurred, delete the host group
with another user account with Modify or Admin permission for the user-defined resource group.
To avoid this issue specify the domain parameter with this command.
Creating CIM_StorageVolume in CIM/WBEM function
When the CIM_StorageVolume was created in the CIM/WBEM function, the RemainingManagedSpace
property for the CIM_StoragePool was not updated before the storage system was refreshed.
Enabling user account authentication in the Add Storage System dialog box
If a storage system is added while the following conditions are met, the setup of login account
authentication will generate the KAIC15001-E error. The addition of a storage system is usually
successful.
• A host name is specified in IP Address/Host Name.
• Enable SVP/RAID Manager user account authentication by CVAE is selected.
If the error KAIC15001-E occurs, in the Edit Storage Systems dialog box, select Enable or disable
SVP/RAID Manager user account authentication by CVAE, change Select... to Enabled, then edit the
storage system.
Configuring Smart Pool in the Allocate Volumes dialog box
If you manually select volumes in the Allocate Volumes dialog box, you cannot change the following
Smart Pool configurations:
• Tiering Policy Setting
• New Page Assignment Tier
• Relocation Priority
If this issue occurs, in the Resources tab, select the unallocated volumes in the Navigation Area, then
open the Allocate Volumes dialog box.
Operations for storage systems while data collection tasks are executing
If an operation is performed for a storage system that is the target of any of the following tasks, an
unexpected error might occur:
• Add Storage Systems
• Refresh Storage Systems
• Update Database (Auto)
If an unexpected error occurs, check the task list to make sure that none of the preceding tasks are
being executed. If any of these tasks are being executed, select a different storage system, or wait
until the task finishes before retrying the operation.
Deleting resource groups that contain information about the mainframe
You might not be able to delete resource groups that contain information about the mainframe in
Device Manager.
If this is the case, delete the resource group from Remote Web Console or RAID Manager.
