Enhancements for 8.0.0-01:
• The Device Manager server, GUI, and CLI now support the virtualization server product VMware
vSphere ESXi 5.1 Update 2. For details on guest operating systems, see HP XP7 Command View

• For HP XP7 P9500, Device Manager now supports the host mode options below. These options
can be specified when allocating volumes.

• Device Manager agent now supports a guest OS running on the virtualization server product

• The Device Manager CLI now supports the importing and setting of volume labels and pool names
for XP P9500.
• The Device Manager server, GUI, and CLI now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
and Microsoft Windows 8.1.
• For XP24000/XP20000 or XP12000/XP10000/SVS200, from SCVMM2012 R2 on Windows
Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2012 Power Shell 4.5, the following operations are supported
via SMI-S Provider of Device Manager server. Host Data Collector now supports guest OSs running
on the virtualization server product VMware vSphere ESXi 5.1 Update 2 as a server.
- Add or delete storage system
- Rescan storage system
- Create or delete volume
- Allocate or unallocate volume
- Mount or unmount volume
• Device Manager no longer supports the Tiered Storage Manager GUI in Legacy mode.
• Device Manager GUI now supports Adobe Flash Player 12.
• Device Manager now supports the following advanced cipher suites for SSL/TLS communication.
- TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA256
- TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA256
• Device Manager now supports new roles that can be allocated to a resource group in HP XP7,
in addition to the roles that could be set in the previous version of the storage system.
• Device Manager now supports a relocation speed adjustment function for Smart Pools of HP XP7
