Launching the PA GUI
Before you can launch the PA GUI, you must set up the client.properties file on the Device
Manager server. However, if you want to launch the PA GUI from the Tiered Storage Manager GUI
in Legacy mode, you must set up the client.properties file on the Tiered Storage Manager
server.
Operations to complete in advance
Set up PA.
For details about the system requirements and setup method, see the PA manual.
Information to collect in advance
PA URL
To launch the PA GUI:
1. Stop the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
2. Specify the protocol, host name or IP address, and port number in the PA URL for the following
properties in the client.properties file of Device Manager server:
Protocol: client.launch.HPPA.report.protocol property
Host name or IP address: client.launch.HPPA.report.host property
Port number: client.launch.HPPA.report.port property
The format of a PA URL is as follows:
protocol://host-name-or-IP-address:port-number/pa/CVAE
3. Start the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
