and registry entries of the Device Manager agent.

In a Windows environment, two
copies of HBase Agent are dis-
played in the Programs and Fea-
tures window of the computer on
which the Device Manager agent
or Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager
is installed.

In a Windows environment,
HBaseAgent is displayed in the
Programs and Features window
even after you remove both the
Device Manager agent and Hitachi
Dynamic Link Manager.

Another program linked with Device Manager might
be frequently accessing the Device Manager agent
that is running. If JavaVM ends abnormally, edit the
following file:
installation-folder-for-Device-Manager-agent\
agent\bin\Server.cmd
Use a text editor to open the Server.cmd file, and
then add -Djava.compiler=NONE to the Java
startup options. The following shows an example of
editing the Server.cmd file:

JavaVM ends abnormally in the
following environments: Windows
Server 2003 R2 (x64), Windows

This problem might occur if a host recognizes 100 or
more LUs that are managed by Device Manager.
To avoid this, follow the procedure in Settings
required for a host to manage 100 or more
LUs on page 228.
When the HiScan command is
executed, an error message (KA-
IC22009-E, KAIC22014-E, KA-
IC22019-E, or KAIC22048-E) is
output, and host information cannot
be registered on the Device Man-
ager server.
