NOTE: When stopping XP Command View AE Suite Common Component in a Linux
environment, do not execute the stop command (hcmdssrv -stop) before Common Component
has completed startup. Regardless of whether a resident process for the service is running, the
service status displayed by the status option may indicate that the service has stopped, and the
service may not be stoppable by the stop option. In such cases, reboot the system.
5-3 Integrated logging
The XP Command View AE Suite Common Component provides a common library for logging, for
XP Command View AE Suite products that use common log files. Device Manager uses this
information to show the log file details, as described in the following sections.
5-3-1 Integrated log output
