6-4 Settings required for email notification
The email notification function notifies users, by email, of the contents of alerts that occurred in the
storage subsystem and were detected by the Device Manager server.
To use this function, you need to specify settings at the SMTP server, for the Device Manager
users, and at the Device Manager server.
For the email notification function, the Device Manager server notifies users of an alert only once
when the Device Manager server detects the alert. If the Device Manager server fails to send an
email, the same email will not be sent again. Information on an alert for which the Device Manager
server fails to send an email, as well as the email address of the intended destination of this email,
