2. Move to the following location.
In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Host-Data-Collector\bin\server
In Solaris or Linux:
installation-directory-for-Host-Data-Collector/bin/server
3. Execute the following command to obtain the maintenance information.
In Windows:
SLC.bat [/dir output-destination-of-maintenance-information] [/o]
[/help]
In Solaris or Linux:
SLC.sh [-dir output-destination-of-maintenance-information] [-o]
[-help]
dir
Specify an output destination for the maintenance information. If you omit this option, a dir-
ectory named slcResult is created in the current directory.
o
Specify this option to forcibly overwrite the directory if the directory specified for the dir
option already exists.
help
Specify this option to view the command format.
Obtaining maintenance information on the host
Depending on whether the host where a failure occurred is managed by Host Data Collector or the
Device Manager agent, the procedure for obtaining maintenance information differs.
Hosts Managed by Host Data Collector
To obtain the maintenance information for a host where a failure occurred:
1. Copy the following file from the computer where Host Data Collector is installed to the host where
the failure occurred:
In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Host-Data-Collector\bin\target\TLC.zip
In Solaris or Linux:
installation-directory-for-Host-Data-Collector/bin/target/TLC.tar.gz
2. Log in to the host where the failure occurred.
In Windows, log in using the Administrator account. In Solaris or Linux, log in using the
root account.
3. On the host, extract the file that you copied in step 1.
4. Move to the directory where the file was extracted.
