The password changes.
7-1-9-1 Change Password - <user-ID> dialog box
Use the Change Password - user-ID dialog box to change a user's password.
The table below describes the items displayed in the dialog box. Required items are indicated with
an asterisk (*).
Password settings
*New Password
Enter the new password.
The character string you enter must be no more than 256
characters.
You can use the following characters for the password:
0-9 A-Z a-z ! # $ % & ' ( ) * + - . = @ \ ^ _ |
If password complexity requirements, such as minimum length and
combination of character types, have been set and the password
you enter does not meet them, an error message is displayed. If
an error message is displayed, review the password.
*Verify Password
For confirmation, enter again the same character string you
entered in *New Password.
If the entered password does not meet the set requirements, one of the messages from
KAPM02502-E to KAPM02509-E appears (the message ID is not displayed).
7-1-10 Changing user permissions
You can change the permissions for HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced Edition
Suite software operation that have been set for a registered user.
Do not change the user permission settings of user HaUser.
The accounts of users who use linkage with an external authorization server to log in are not
registered in HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite software.
Accordingly, you cannot set permissions for these users.
To change the permission settings of a user:
1. On the Explorer menu, choose Administration, and then Users and Permissions.
The Users and Permissions subwindow opens.
2. In the object tree, select a user ID under Users.
The user-ID subwindow opens.
3. Click the Change Permission button.
The Change Permission - user-ID dialog box opens.
4. Change the permission settings.
The permission settings displayed in the user-ID subwindow are updated.

user permissions can be changed for HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced Edition
Suite software whose users are managed by Common Component and whose user permissions
have been set individually.
