Permissions for the directory
Grant all users read and execution permissions to the installation directory, as well as all directories
below it. In Linux, the directory specified as the installation directory will have its permissions set to
775. Specify an installation directory for which there will be no issues if the permissions are changed
to 775.
The Edit Label - object-name dialog box
When the Edit Label-object-name dialog box is displayed from the following windows, if the object
name does not use A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', (, ), +, -, ., =, @, [, ], ^, _, {, }, or ~, the dialog
box is not displayed correctly.

If this occurs, edit the LDEV label to use the correct character set.
About merging hosts
The Merge Host - host-name dialog box and the dialog box for confirming the merging of hosts are
not displayed correctly if the name of a host in the source host list does not use one of the following
characters:
A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', (, ), +, -, ., =, @, [, ], ^, _, {, }, or ~.
About adding virtualization servers
The Add Virtualization Server - Completed dialog box is not displayed correctly if the name of a host
in the virtualization server list does not use any of the following characters:
A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', (, ), +, -, ., =, @, [, ], ^, _, {, }, or ~.
When the KAIC05607-E or KAIC06400-E error is occurred during an
operation to change a storage system configuration
If the KAIC05607-E or KAIC06400-E error occurs when changing a storage system configuration in
the Device Manager GUI or CLI, some of the configuration changes might have been applied to the
storage system. Refresh the storage system information and check the current storage system
configuration. After that, continue the configuration change operation by using the Device Manager
GUI, CLI, or Element Manager.
Installing the Device Manager agent in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6(x64)
In an Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6(x64), an installation of Device Manager agent fails if glibc-<RPM-
package-version>.i686.rpm is not installed in the target machine (when a silent installation of Device
Manager agent is performed, the output return code will be 144).
When the error occurs, reinstall the Device Manager agent after the package is installed.
