4-2 Starting and Stopping Command View XP AE Suite
Common Component
4-2-1 Starting Common Component
Ordinarily you should not need to manually start Common Component.
To start Common Component in a Windows
®
environment:
1. Log in to the system as a user with Administrator privileges.
2. Start the Common Component services: <common component installation
folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /start
3. Verify that Common Component has started: <common component installation
folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /status
4. If the following messages appear, the services are running:
• KAPM06440-I The HiRDB service has already started.
• KAPM05007-I Already started service. service-name=HiCommand Suite
Common Web Service.
• KAPM05007-I Already started service. service-name=HiCommand Suite
Single Sign On Service.
4-2-2 Stopping Common Component
To stop Common Component in a Windows
®
environment:
1. Log on as an administrator.
2. Stop the Common Component services: <common component installation
folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /stop
NOTE: Do not stop the Common Component services while another Command View XP AE Suite program
is running.
3. Verify that Common Component has stopped: <common component installation
folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /status
4. If the following messages appear, the services have stopped:
• KAPM06441-I The HiRDB service has already stopped.
• KAPM05009-I Already stopped service. service-name=HiCommand Suite
Common Web Service.
• KAPM05009-I Already stopped service. service-name=HiCommand Suite
Single Sign On Service.
