Device Manager Agent Operations 64
Table 3-8 server.properties File
Property Description
server.http.server.timeOut (see Note) Specify a timeout value (in seconds) for receiving a
response from the Device Manager server when
registering host information using the HiScan
command. If no response is received from the Device
Manager server by the time specified in this property,
the Device Manager agent concludes that an error has
occurred and the HiScan command terminates
abnormally. You can specify a minimum value of 100
and a maximum value of 3600 in this property. When
the specified value is outside these bounds, the timeout
is assumed to be 100 if the specified value is less than
the minimum, or 3600 if the specified value exceeds the
maximum.
Default: 600.
server.agent.rm.moduleTimeOut (see Note) This property allows you to set a timeout value (in
seconds) for return of the command execution result
when the Device Manager agent executes a RAID
Manager command.
When a command takes longer to execute than the
setting in this property, the Device Manager agent
concludes that an error occurred during the command
execution.
This setting should only be modified by a system
administrator with expert knowledge, wanting to make
fine adjustments to the performance of the Device
Manager agent's pair configuration facility.
Default: 180 (seconds).
server.agent.rm.centralizePairConfigurati
on (see Note)
When a specific host is used to centrally manage pair
configuration of Business Copy, Continuous Access
and Snapshot XP for the disk arrays managed by a
Device Manager server, set this property for that host to
enable. In this case, if the host recognizes the
command device in each disk array, the LUs not
recognized by the host can also be used for a pair
setting.
The default value of this property is disable, in which
only LUs that are recognized by the host can be used
for a pair setting.
Default: Disable.
NOTE: These properties are not coded by default in the property file after installation. If you want to change
a setting value from the default, you need to add the property in the property-name=value format.
3-11-2 logger.properties File
The logger.properties file contains the logging functions of the Device Manager agent. To
configure the daemon/service and WebServer processes of the Device Manager agent, see
