Synopsis hdvmagt_schedule
Description The hdvmagt_schedule command provides an interactive interface to setup the auto-
execution period of the HiScan command. The hdvmagt_schedule command asks about the
execution period of HiScan daily or hourly, and configures the /etc/crontab table (or task
scheduler). You must possess super user/Administrator authority to execute the
hdvmagt_schedule command.
The questions hdvmagt_schedule command asks are below.
Do you want to change the execution period of HiScan command? (Y)es or (N)o. (default:N):
Enter ‘y’ or ‘n’. If you answer ‘n’, hdvmagt_schedule terminates without configuring anything. If
you answer '
y', a message is displayed that inquires about the execution period.
Enter execution period: (H)ourly or (D)aily (default:D):
Enter ‘h or ‘d’. If you answer ‘h’, hdvmagt_schedule configures crontab (or task scheduler) to
execute HiScan every hour. If you answer ‘d’, HiScan will execute every day at 2:47 AM.
Options None.
Exit Status None.
3-10 hdvmagt_account Command Syntax
The hdvmagt_account command changes the Device Manager server to which the Device Manager
agent sends information.
When you change an account used in the Device Manager agent, use Web Client to create or change
the user ID. For this work, set the user privileges to Peer. For details about how to create or change a
user ID, see the manual HP StorageWorks Command View XP Advanced Edition Device Manager
Web Client User Guide.
CAUTION: If you execute the hdvmagt_account command, hdvmagt will be restarted regardless of
whether the server information has changed. For details about hdvmagt_account, see section 3-10 .
The hdvmagt_account command is stored in the following locations:
• In Windows
