Before installing the Device Manager agent on a Linux
®
system: The installation procedure differs
depending on whether the Device Manager agent is to be newly installed, or an overwrite installation
of Device Manager agent version 1.0 or later is to be performed. Make sure that you install the Device
Manager agent according to the appropriate procedure.
Please refer to
Table 2-1 for supported OSs and a listing of required programs for your OS.
You must be a super user.
At least 64 MB of free space is required on the hard disk.
Make sure beforehand that there is enough space in the default directory for installing the
Device Manager agent.
