Version 7.1.0-02 Description This package contains updated HP P9000 Replication Manager Software. For the specific issues resolved, see “Fixes” (page 4) in this document. Update recommendation Recommended Supersedes 7.1.
• The Refresh Configuration can now acquire only the differential information from the storage system or the host. This enhancement reduces the amount of time required for the Refresh Configuration to complete. • Replication Manager no longer exits from maintenance mode whenever the service stops. Replication Manager remains in maintenance mode, even if the service is stopped and restarted.
• When creating a 3DC multi-target configuration, if a user specified a CTGID and created a 3DC Delta Resync copy group, or if a user added a copy pair to an existing copy group in a 3DC multi-target configuration, the corresponding task failed with the KAVN00469-E error. • If a user saved a workflow from the Pair Association page of Pair Configuration wizard and then selected the Copy Group List tab in Host view, an error occurred and an attempt to display the page failed.
2. Generate and execute the replacement tasks for the secondary volumes not replaced in step 1. If you use Pair Configuration Wizard only once to generate and execute the replacement tasks for all of the secondary volumes in the Continuous Access Synchronous or P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal copy pair, task execution might fail.
configuration definition files of the two RAID Manager instances that manage the primary volume and the secondary volume. If the previous instructions are not followed, unanticipated results may occur when executing Application Agent. The confirmed issue that might occur and troubleshooting procedures are described as follows.
2. Release the INQUIRY of the primary volume. PROMPT>raidvchkset –g Grp01 –d vol01 -idb 3. Confirm that the primary volume allows INQUIRY. PROMPT>raidvchkdsp –g –g Grp01 –d vol01 -v gflag Group PairVol Device_File Seq# LDEV# GI-C-R-W-S PI-C-R-W-S R-Time Grp01 vol01 Harddisk1 2332 3 E E E E E E E E E E – Confirm that the value of the GI attribute is E (= INQUIRY is allowed).
NOTE: To confirm the RAID Manager process name output to the last record of the log, open the Application Agent trace log file. The Application Agent trace log file name: \DRM\log\drm_pp_trace.log (where is a numeric character) 5. • Click the Terminate Process button. Note the following item when performing replica operations for Microsoft SQL Server using Application Agent.
Managing copy pairs in a configuration that uses a device group or a virtual command device When managing copy pairs in a configuration that uses a device group or a virtual command device, the response time for RAID Manager commands increases compared to managing copy pairs in a configuration that uses a physical command device.
This issue occurs when all of the following conditions are met: • No Replication Manager license is registered, and Replication Manager is started from Device Manager. • From the Pair Configurations view (accessible by Explorer→Resources→Pair Configurations, the Copy Pair Summary is viewed (accessible by selecting Pair Configurations→Pair Management Servers→Config Files→Copy Groups. • Copy pairs that cannot be viewed are in the copy group selected in the previous issue.
