HP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.3.1-00 Release Notes

2
A primary volume that was one of the following sizes:
From 1000 to 1023 MB
More than 1000 TB
Note that this problem does not occur when the volume size is from 1000 to 1023 MB.
If a product other than Replication Manager was used to modify the configuration of a storage
system managed by an instance of Device Manager registered as an information source, when
Refresh Configuration was executed, the information of the modified configuration was
not displayed in the resource view.
When multiple tasks to create a copy pair for which Snapshot was specified as the copy type
were selected, if the Edit Task page was started but there was no common pool ID that could be
chosen for all of the selected tasks, the contents of the Pair Setting tab were not displayed. As a
result, none of the operations in the Pair Setting tab could be performed.
If the name of a pair management server had been changed, or if a configuration definition file
managed by a pair management server contained information that was incorrect, when Pair
Configuration Wizard was used to execute an operation for a copy group managed by the pair
management server, the operation generated the KAVN00419-E message.
If XP P9000 RAID Manager was installed on a non-system drive of a database server, file server,
or backup server, the VSS backup or the create replica for Exchange Server might generate the
KAVX5003-E or KAVX5033-E message.
There was a task to operate a copy group for which a virtual command device was specified,
but the pair management server that used the virtual command device was not displayed in the
Host column of the task list in the Task window.
When Refresh Configuration was executed for an information source that manages 255
pair management servers or more, the Refresh Configuration operation generated the
KAVN00513-W (RPM-00857) or KAVN00514-E (RPM-00857) message.
In the copy group summary window of the hosts view of the mainframe system, n/a was displayed
for the journal volume usage of a Continuous Access Journal Z copy group or the sidefile usage
of a TrueCopy Asynchronous copy group.
If the Filter window was opened by clicking the Filter button in the Paired or Unpaired tab of the
LUN List tab in the storage system view, when multiple filter conditions (including is not or does
not contain) were specified and an attempt was made to display a list of entries that met the
conditions, entries that did not meet the specified conditions were displayed.
On the SitesStorage SystemPaired tab, if you selected the volume of an enterprise-class storage
and clicked the Refresh LUNs button, it generated the KAVN00429E (RPM-00590) message.
Important considerations
Replacing secondary volumes of Continuous Access Synchronous or Continuous Access
Journal in a 3DC multi-target configuration (open systems)
To replace all the secondary volumes included in a Continuous Access Synchronous or XP P9000/XP
Continuous Access Journal copy pair, launch the Pair Configuration Wizard more than once to replace
the secondary volumes using the following procedure:
1. Generate and execute the replacement tasks to replace half of the secondary volumes of the
Continuous Access Synchronous or XP P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal copy pair.
2. Generate and execute the replacement tasks for the other half of the secondary volumes not
replaced in step 1.
