HP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.2 Release Notes

2. Generate and execute the replacement tasks for the secondary volumes not replaced in step 1.
If you use Pair Configuration Wizard only once to generate and execute the replacement tasks for all
of the secondary volumes in the Continuous Access Synchronous or P9000/XP Continuous Access
Journal copy pair, task execution might not be successful.
Adjusting the task execution schedule for daylight saving time
When all of the following conditions are met, either or both of the following behaviors might occur
and task execution does not start as scheduled:
Behaviors
1. A task is executed one more time than scheduled before the hour lost (02:00-02:59) when switching
from standard time to daylight saving time.
2. After daylight saving time is applied, the second execution starts an hour later than scheduled.
Conditions
1. You are using Replication Manager in a region where daylight saving time is applied.
2. A Change Copy Pair task is scheduled to execute during the hour that is lost when switching from
standard time to daylight saving time.
3. The following conditions are met when the task is scheduled:
The task is scheduled to execute for a time during the hour lost (02:00-02:59) when switching
from standard time to daylight saving time and was executed for the first time at least one
day before the day the clocks were moved forward. For example, when daylight saving time
starts and a task that is scheduled to execute every 8 hours was previously executed at 18:00
on the day before daylight saving time starts (the condition for generating behavior 1).
You have specified an execution interval of longer than 24 hours. In other words, you have
scheduled a task that will be executed for the second time on the day after daylight saving
time starts (the condition for generating behavior 2).
Temporary solution
1. Cancel the task that corresponds to the above conditions for the target copy pair.
2. Create a different task and then select the hyphen “-” for the execution schedule interval.
3. After daylight saving time starts, edit the task that was canceled in step (1) above to revise the
settings.
Executing scheduled tasks
When a task scheduled for execution meets all of the following conditions, the next scheduled execution
of the task is automatically adjusted to start later.
Conditions
The task is a scheduled task that has already been executed at least once.
The previous time when the task was executed, and the next time the task should be executed all
meet the following conditions:
hh2 > hh1
MM > mm2
hh1:mm1 The previous time when the task was executed (start time)
hh2:mm2 The previous time when the task was executed (end time)
HH:MM The next time the task should be executed (start time)
