Replica catalogs are not deleted
After you delete a copy pair, the associated replica catalogs still remain. For example, if a replica
copy pair is configured to have three generations, it will have a maximum of three replica catalogs.
Once you have deleted a copy pair, you can delete the associated replica catalogs using this
procedure:
1. Obtain the creation times of the replica catalogs you want to delete. They are listed in the Replica
History tab.
2. Execute the drmexgcat command as in this example that shows the command line and a partial
output:
C:\Program Files\CVXPAE\DRM\bin\drmexgcat
STORAGEGROUP: first-storage-group
BACKUP-ID: 0000000043 BACKUP-MODE: VSS STORAGEGROUP: first-storage-group
ORIGINAL-ID: 0000000043
START-TIME: 2009/10/15 18:03:23 END-TIME: 2009/10/15 18:05:48 HOSTNAME:
stdg13
3. Note the BACKUP-ID number(s) associated with the creation dates you obtained in step 1. (In
the example, the BACKUP-ID is 0000000043.)
4. Use the BACKUP-ID number(s) as input for the drmappcat command to delete the replica
catalogs:
drmappcat backup-ID -delete
A message is displayed indicating that the specified BACKUP-ID has been deleted.
