HP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.2 Configuration Guide
Transferring the database to another disk (Windows MSCS)
The following topics describe the procedures for moving data when Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS)
is used.
NOTE:
Be aware of the following:
• This procedure assumes that the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE Common Component
service is already running.
• In the cluster management application, you must specify the resource name registered when setting
up the cluster resource.
Procedure on the executing node
1. On the executing node, make sure that the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE Common
Component service is online, and that the executing node currently owns the service and shared
disk.
2. From the Start menu, choose Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and then Cluster
Administrator. In the Cluster Administrator window that opens, place the following services offline:
• DeviceManagerServer
• Tiered Storage Manager
• P9000 Command View AE Device Manager Web Service
• HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
• HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
• Any additional P9000 Command View AE suite resources not listed here
NOTE:
Do not place the shared disk resource offline, or migration of the database will fail.
3. Execute the following command to stop the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE Common
Component service:
installation-folder-for-P9000-Command-View-AE-Common-Component\bin\hcmdssrv
/stop
4. In the Cluster Administrator window, place the following service offline:
HiRDB/ClusterService _HD0
5. In the Cluster Administrator window, right-click the service, and choose Properties. In the window
that opens, choose the Advanced tab, select Do not restart, and click OK. (Perform this step for
each service in steps 2 and 4.)
