PROBLEM: The services of Common
Component or the Device Manager
server cannot be started.
CAUSE: The desktop heap might be
insufficient.

Startup of the Device Manager service might have failed.
Change the values for the following properties to increase
the retry count and extend the retry interval for connecting
to the Device Manager database:
• dbm.startingCheck.retryCount
• dbm.startingCheck.retryPeriod
PROBLEM: Device Manager server
cannot be accessed from the GUI or
CLI after starting the Management
server or P9000 Command View AE
Suite product services.
CAUSE: If the KAIC03100-E error
message is output to the Device
Manager trace log file, the
communication process from Device
Manager server to the database has
timed out.
