NOTE: In the LUN path edit task, the Task Details dialog box will always show a status of Waiting
or blank in the Path Information column, regardless of what the task status is.
Operation not complete after logging in to GUI
If the operation is not complete 30 minutes after logging in to the GUI, the following error might be
displayed:
The session is not valid. You must log in again.
KAIC16009-E
If this occurs, log in again.
Window refresh error (KAIC16902-E)
The KAIC16902-E error might occur during a window refresh, and the action for the error does not
solve the issue.
A timeout occurred during connection to the server. The server might be busy.
Wait a few minutes, and then try again.
If this occurs, do the following:
1. Log in again and retry the operation.
2. If the operation fails again, restart the Command View Advanced Edition server, and then retry
the operation.
Number of LDEVs managed in a configuration using CIM/WBEM function
The maximum number of LDEVs that Device Manager can manage in a configuration using the
CIM/WBEM function is as follows:
When Device Manager does not manage XP1024/XP128 Disk Array and XP12000/XP10000
Disk Array:
The total number of LDEVs that Device Manager manages must be less than 64,000.
When Device Manager manages XP1024/XP128 Disk Array and XP12000/XP10000 Disk
Array:
The total number of LDEVs that Device Manager manages: LDEV_NUM1
The total number of LDEVs that are on XP1024/XP128 Disk Array and XP12000/XP10000
Disk Array: LDEV_NUM2
LDEV_NUM1 x LDEV_NUM2 <= 220,000
Using the Device Manager CLI with the French version of Windows
When using the Device Manager CLI, the comma used in a numerical value (such as 123,456,789)
of the output is not allowed in the French version of Windows.
Change the setting of the command prompt as follows:
1. From Properties in the command prompt, set the font to Lucida Console.
2. Execute the command line chcp 1252 in the command prompt.
Host list
When multiple hosts are registered by a virtualization server, the task status will show a dash (-) for
the second and subsequent hosts. The task status is displayed under the host list on the Administration
tab.
