HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Software Update 7.1.0-01 Release Notes (TB581-96073, June 2011)
When you run the target host log gathering tool (TLC), the zpool_history_<zfs pool name>-<1
to 6-digit number>.rst and the file <any character>-<1 to 6-digit number>.rst
might be created in the same directory from where you ran the TLC tool.
Delete these files from the directory after registering hosts, updating host information, or running TLC.
Registering a host with multiple IP addresses through Host Data Collector
When you register a host with multiple IP addresses to the Device Manager server, only the first IP
address is accepted. If you enter more IP addresses, an error message appears, which can be ignored.
Registering and refreshing hosts
The KAIC169001-E error might occur when communications between Host Data Collector and multiple
target hosts fail in registering hosts or refresh task.
If this occurs, close the browser, wait 5 minutes, and then log in again.
Setting properties for linking to Host Data Collector
When you install Command View Advanced Edition on a computer with only Host Data Collector, the
properties must be set for the connection between Device Manager and Host Data Collector.
For details about setting these properties, see the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced
Edition Suite Software Installation Configuration Guide.
Host Data Collector service
If the Bourne shell is used to install Host Data Collector or to start the service, logging out of the
management server causes the Host Data Collector service to stop. Therefore, use a shell other than
the Bourne shell to install Host Data Collector or start the service.
Registering hosts through Host Data Collector
Use the Administrator account when using the WMI protocol to register Windows target hosts.
Using HiKeytool function to change truststore password for Device Manager server
If a truststore password for the Device Manager server is changed using HiKeytool, HiKeytool operations
performed on Device Manager server truststores might fail.
Do not change the Device Manager server truststore password.
Logical groups list
When multiple filter conditions are specified for the logical groups list, only the first condition is effective.
If multiple filter conditions are required, repeat filtering one at a time, cumulatively.
Filtering in the Logical Groups dialog box
When adding volumes in the Logical Groups dialog box, you cannot filter by encrypted column.
If this occurs, filter the volumes with some other criteria first, and then try to sort by encrypted column.
Search condition on capacity
If you saved a search condition containing a capacity attribute as a private search condition, you
might not be able to change it to a public search condition. If this occurs, save it as a public search
condition first.
