2 Storage system sense byte information
This chapter describes storage system sense byte information (error codes) contained in messages.
Details of error codes
This section lists the details on the storage system sense byte information (error codes) that are output
to messages. If an error code not listed in this table is output, contact service representative.
The legend is as follows:
• CMD: Command device
• PATH: Logical path
• SMART: Smart Tiers Z
• Y: Produces output
• N: Produces no output

(QuickRestore) because all of the following
conditions exist:
• System option mode 561 is ON.
• The P-VOL and S-VOL are external volumes.
• The P-VOL and S-VOL CacheMode setting
are different.

The specified BC copy pair cannot be resynchron-
ized (ReverseCopy or QuickRestore) because the
P-VOL of the BC copy pair is a CAJ copy pair
volume for which multiple mirror IDs are defined.

because the S-VOL of the BC copy pair is a CAJ
copy pair volume for which multiple mirror IDs are
defined.

A BC copy pair cannot be made or
resynchronized. The reason might be one of the
following:
• The BC copy pair status cannot be changed
because the P-VOL has already been made
into a copy pair by using CAJ.
• The P-VOL is a journal volume.
