Requirements for mainframe systems
The following table describes the requirements for hosts. For information on restrictions, see Restrictions
when Replication Manager and HP XP7 Business Continuity Manager versions differ on page 142.

If you want to use an IPv6 connection or HTTPS (SSL) communication between RepMgr and BCM, you

Support for Cnt Ac-J x Cnt Ac-J configurations
Cascade and multi-target configurations of Cnt Ac-J x Cnt Ac-J are supported in conjunction with
Business Continuity Manager v7.3. BCM must be used to create the configuration; Replication Manager
can only be used to update an existing Cnt Ac-J x Cnt Ac-J configuration.
NOTE:
When attempting to delete copy pairs from a Cnt Ac-J x Cnt Ac-J configuration for a mainframe
system, switch the status of all the copy pairs in the concatenated copy groups of the two instances
to Suspend, and then delete the copy pairs.
Restrictions on using HP XP7 Business Continuity Manager 6.6.1
The following operations are not supported if you are using HP XP7 Business Continuity Manager
6.6.1:
When using HP XP7 Business Continuity Manager 6.6.1, if a volume scan using Replication
Manager is performed, an error (RPM-00539) occurs in Replication Manager.
When Replication Manager is used to distribute disk configuration definitions files to a host linked
with HP XP7 Business Continuity Manager 6.6.1, an error occurs (RPM-00568) in Replication
Manager.
In either of the above cases, Replication Manager cannot be used to edit the disk configuration
definition files that were created by HP XP7 Business Continuity Manager 6.6.1. Instead, you must
