NOTE: Device Manager, Tiered Storage Manager, Replication Manager, and Host Data Collector are
always installed at the same time.
For example, it is necessary to allocate a virtual memory capacity that is larger than 11701 MB when
operating a management server under the following conditions:
•
The memory heap size of Common Component is set to large.
•
The memory heap size of the Device Manager server is set to large.
•
Only XP7 Command View AE (Device Manager, Tiered Storage Manager, Replication Manager,
and Host Data Collector) is installed on the management server.
•
1000 MB of virtual memory is already allocated for the operating system and other programs.

NOTE: If the Device Manager agent is installed in the management server, necessary virtual memory
needs to be allocated for the Device Manager agent. Specify the virtual memory size values for the
Device Manager agent by using the server.agent.maxMemorySize property. For the

Guide.
NOTE: If the Replication Manager Application agent is installed in the management server, necessary
virtual memory needs to be allocated for the Replication Manager Application agent. For the virtual
memory size value, see HP XP7 Replication Manager Configuration Guide.

If you are installing the products in Table 1-2 and Table 1-3 are installed onto the
