HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition CLI Reference Guide (TK981-96006, May 2014)

If an error occurs during the execution of the AddHostRefresh command, perform the following
procedure:
1. Check whether XP7 mainframe agent is operating normally.
If it is not operating normally, check the XP7 mainframe agent settings, and restart XP7
mainframe agent.
2. Check whether the mainframe host and XP7 mainframe agent have been registered correctly.
If they have been registered correctly, use the AddHostRefresh command to acquire the
information again. If they have not been registered correctly, register them correctly by using
the procedures described in “Registering the mainframe host in Device Manager” on page 544
and “Registering the XP7 mainframe agent running on the mainframe host in Device
Manager” on page 545.
Command format:
hdvmcli AddHostRefresh "objectid=mainframe-host-object-ID"
Example of executing the command:
hdvmcli AddHostRefresh -o "D:\logs\AddHostRefresh.log" "objectid=*****"
*****: The value is encoded by the CLI.

Acquiring XP7 mainframe agent information registered in
Device Manager
To acquire XP7 mainframe agent information registered in the Device Manager server, use the
GetURLLink command. By executing this command, you can acquire the IP address and port number
of the mainframe host from the url information included in the execution results.
