GetAlerts
The GetAlerts command obtains alerts that are managed by the Device Manager server.
NOTE:
Device Manager can manage a maximum of 500,000 alerts in the entire system. If the number
of alerts exceeds 500,000, the oldest alerts start to be automatically deleted.
HP recommends periodically managing the number of alerts for each source (source). As a
guide, delete unnecessary alerts when the number of alerts from a source reaches 10,000 . For
details about deleting alerts, see DeleteAlerts on page 373.
The GetAlerts command can obtain a maximum of 50,000 alerts. If the number of alerts in
the entire system exceeds 50,000, specify parameters to filter the alerts. The filter conditions you
can specify are the alert source (sourcefilter), the time the alert was generated (timefil-
ter), and the number of alerts to be obtained (countfilter).
