Table 95 ModifyVLDEV command parameters
DescriptionStatusParameter name
Specify an operation to be performed to the virtual LDEV.
The following are the specifiable values:
mapvid: The virtual device number is registered in the virtual
LDEV.
unmapvid: The virtual device number is deleted from the
virtual LDEV.
mapvattr: Virtual information is registered in the virtual LDEV.
unmapvattr: Virtual information is deleted from the virtual
LDEV.
You can specify the mapvid and mapvattr parameter values,
and the unmapvid and unmapvattr parameter values at the
same time. To specify multiple parameters, separate them by
using commas (,).
An error occurs if the virtual LDEV status and the specified
parameter value are the same.
For example, an error occurs if mapvid is specified for a virtual
LDEV whose virtual device number has already been set, or if
unmapvid is specified for a virtual LDEV that does not have a
virtual device number.
