HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition 8.0.0-01 Release Notes
- KAIC15470-E
- KAIC15131-E
◦ Symptom 3: After Symptom 1 occurred, a system became unstable. For example, the state
of processing by DevMgr operations in general did not progress.
◦ Symptom 4: After Symptom 1 occurred, if the DevMgr service was restarted, the KFPA11404-E
error occurred while the service was restarting, and the attempt to restart failed.
• When creating a mixed smart pool, if you select a parity group then toggle between the Internal
Parity Groups tab and External Parity Groups tab in the Add Parity Groups window, the [Add to
Pool] button no longer becomes disabled and a parity group can be added.
• On an AIX host for which the ENV environment variable is set, an irrelevant error message is
displayed when starting or stopping the Device Manager agent service.
• The Elapsed Time in the Tasks tab, the Task History tab, the Completed Task List or the Failed Task
List were shown as negative numbers.
• If you display the tiered THP Pool list of P9500 in the Mobility tab, THP Pools that you do not
have the View permission for are displayed.
• In the Create THP Pool window, when you selected Smart for the pool type without first selecting
a resource group, the incorrect message KAIC15232-E was displayed.
• If the category of the search condition was set to "Security" and if you used a saved search
condition, the message KAIC15000-E appears, and the search cannot be performed.
• Even if a volume of an external parity group was deleted, the volumes continue to appear in
screens for the following:
- Parity group
- External storage
• When a user who has general user permissions is specified to add, refresh, or modify a Unix
host with Host Data Collector, the operation might not complete and then issue the KAIC05503-E
error.
• If you had changed the JDK that DevMgr utilized with Oracle JDK 7 then you operated the Allocate
Volumes dialog box or other dialog boxes, an unexpected error (KAIC16993-E with maintenance
information: Comparison method violates its general contract!) might occur.
Important considerations
AddLogicalUnit, AddVirtualVolume, AddExternalArrayGroupcommands
take time to complete
When executing the following CLI commands:, AddLogicalUnit, AddVirtualVolume,
AddExternalArrayGroup , the command takes long time (several minutes) to complete.
This delay may occur when the following conditions are met:
1. The Device Manager manages HP XP7 Storage or P9500 storage systems.
2. For the storage system described in (1), any of the command listed previously is executed with
which devnum parameter is omitted.
3. The user specified in the command described in (2) has Modify or Admin role for the User-defined
resource group.
4. The delay is proportional to the number of volumes that belong to the resource group. For 1000
volumes that belong to the resource group described in (3) the delay is about 15 minutes.
To avoid this issue specify the devnum parameter when using these commands.
