HP XP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software 7.6.1-01 Release Notes
1. An external path group existed that had the same number of paths as the paths specified
between the external storage system and internal storage system that were selected in the
Virtualize Volumes dialog box.
2. The logged-in user had user-defined resource groups.
3. The user-defined resource groups did not include ports in the internal storage system that was
part of the external path group described in the first condition.
• When editing hosts or manually adding hosts, if you set a port-type name for iSCSIName, a
WWN was set for iSCSIName.
• A periodic task for a Smart pool does not complete in the Task Details dialog box, the Task
Information for the task does not show any information except KAIC16993-E, and the history of
the task could not be deleted with KAIC16993-E.
• If you specified a volume that matches one of the following conditions and performed an operation
on a resource group, the other unexpected volumes might be added to or removed from the
resource group:
◦ The volume was a pair volume.
◦ The volume was one of the volumes making up a pool specified in a data pool.
◦ The volume was one of the volumes making up a group specified in a journal group.
• In the Storage System list on the Administration tab, a duplicate storage system appears. The
duplicate system cannot be removed, and the Storage System list cannot be refreshed.
If this issue has occurred before upgrading, you must perform the following recovery procedure
either before or after the upgrade.
Recovery:
Delete the storage system from Device Manager with the CLI DeleteStorageArray command
and re-register the storage system.
NOTE: Before you execute the DeleteStorageArray command, record the labels and
logical groups associated with volumes in the storage system by using the CLI. These values and
relationships will be deleted after the command is executed.
• When a user deletes a path in the Edit LUN Paths dialog box, paths for other volumes might be
deleted unintentionally along with the path that was specified by user.
Important considerations
Displaying the Ext. Storage Volume value in the parity group list
The Ext. Storage Volume value should be displayed as the base 10 LDEV ID of the external volume,
but it is displayed as the base 10 LDEV ID of the internal volume. To find the LDEV ID of the external
volume, see the Ext. Storage Volume value in the parity group list.*
* If the Ext. Storage Volume column is not displayed, click the Column Settings button and change the
settings on the screen so that the column is displayed.
The Detailed Information window displays incorrect drive type information
If an external storage system is connected and an external volume is mapped to an internal volume,
incorrect information for the drive type might appear in the Detailed Information window for the internal
volume.
