Stopping services
You can stop the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services from the Windows menu or by
using the hcmdssrv command.
Operations to complete in advance
• Log in as a user with Administrator permissions (for Windows) or as a root user (for Linux).
To stop the services:
• Perform the following operations:
In Windows:
Stop the services in either of the following ways:
In Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server
2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Stop - Command View AE Suite.
In Windows Server 2012
From the Start window, select All apps, HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite,
and then Stop - Command View AE Suite.
By using the following command:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component\bin\hcmdssrv /stop
In Linux:
Execute the following command:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -stop
The following services are stopped in a batch, and the results of stopping the services are displayed
in the window:
• HiRDB
• HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
• HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
• HBase Storage Mgmt Web SSO Service (Windows only)
• HCS Device Manager Web Service
• DeviceManagerServer
• HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
• All P9000 Command View AE Suite product services present on the same server
CAUTION:
• Services of other P9000 Command View AE Suite products whose versions are 5.7 or later stop
at the same time.
• In Linux, do not stop Common Component before it has completed startup. If you do so, the service
status might indicate that the service has stopped even though a resident process for the service
is running, or you might be unable to stop the service. In such cases, restart the computer.
