HP XP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software 7.5.0-00 Administrator Guide (Web Version) (TB581-96346, July 2013)

Provide a cluster group (resource group), which is a group of services to be clustered (units of
service failover).
Configure a resource group that includes the shared disks and client access points (cluster man-
agement IP addresses and network names) that can be inherited by the executing and standby
nodes.
Make sure that Windows Server Failover Clustering can successfully control resource allocation,
resource removal, and operation monitoring.
If there is a resource group in which another P9000 Command View AE Suite product has been
registered, use that resource group.
Make sure that the resource group consists of only those resources that are related to P9000
Command View AE Suite products.
To set up Windows Server Failover Clustering:
1. Add the Device Manager resource to the resource group. If you use Tiered Storage Manager,
also add the Tiered Storage Manager resource to the resource group.
Add Device Manager and Tiered Storage Manager resources to the resource group.
Right-click the name of the created resource group, and choose Add Resource, then Generic
service. In the Select Services window, select the following services:
HiRDB/ClusterService _HD0
HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
HCS Device Manager Web Service
DeviceManagerServer
HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
The above services are registered as resources.
