CAUTION:
The disk configuration must be the same on all the nodes that make up a cluster. Furthermore, the
installation destination for the P9000 Command View AE Suite products must also be the same
(including the drive letter and path).
If you change some P9000 Command View AE Suite product settings after a cluster has been
created, specify the same settings for all the nodes.
In this manual, a group of clustered services, the set of services for which failover is performed,
is called a
resource group
.
Setting up a cluster environment
This section describes how to set up a cluster environment by using Microsoft Cluster Service or
Windows Server Failover Clustering.
Installing P9000 Command View AE Suite on cluster management servers (new
installation)
This section describes how to perform a new installation of P9000 Command View AE Suite on the
management servers in a cluster configuration.
CAUTION:
While reconfiguring the cluster system, do not access Device Manager, Tiered Storage Manager, or
Replication Manager.
Installing on the executing node (new installation)
To perform a new installation of P9000 Command View AE Suite on the executing node:
1. Bring the cluster management IP address and the shared disk online.
2. If any other P9000 Command View AE Suite products are included in the cluster environment,
remove the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services and resource group from the targets
of the cluster management.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the following resources from the cluster management
Shared disk
Cluster management IP address
Logical host name
