4-5 Logger Properties
The logger.properties allows you to configure the logging functions. If you have updated these properties, make
sure to restart the Command View XP AE Suite Single Sign On Service to enable the updated information.
4-5-1 logger.messagelogLevel
This allows you to set the threshold value of the output level for the messages logged by the Tiered Storage
Manager server and the web client. Messages with output levels lower than that specified are written to
message logs. You can specify values from 0 to 30, but the default value of 20 is recommended.
Default: 20

Error 0 An error that may affect the operation of management server has occurred.
10 An execution error, e.g., for operational errors, has occurred.
Warning 20 An executable error, although there are limitations, has occurred.
Information 0 Information regarding the actions of the management server or the web client has
been produced.
20 Information regarding the processing for each operation has been produced.
4-5-2 logger.tracelogLevel
This allows you to set the threshold value of the output level for the trace logging by the Tiered Storage
Manager server and the web client. Regardless of the message type, the provided output levels are based on
the contents of the logged messages. Messages output levels lower than that specified written to message
logs. You can specify values from 0 to 30, but the default value of 20 is recommended.
Default: 20

20 Information regarding the starting/stopping of a major method, or the
creation/deletion of a major object has been produced.

The event log records particularly important messages from all of the logs. This allows you to set the threshold
value of the output level for the event log from Tiered Storage Manager. Messages with output levels lower
than that specified are written to message logs. You can specify values from 0 to 30, but the default value of 0
is recommended.
