5. On the executing node, create the cluster settings file cluster.conf using a text editor. Following are
the items to be specified for the cluster settings file:
• mode: online (indicating the executing node)
• virtualhost: Logical host name
• onlinehost: Host name on the executing node
• standbyhost: Host name on the standby node
NOTE: When specifying a host name in the cluster settings file, you cannot specify an IP address.
Following is an example of coding the cluster settings file on the executing node:
mode = online
virtualhost = hpswtsm_cluster
onlinehost = hpswtsm_1
standbyhost = hpswtsm_2
Store the created file in Command-View-XP-AE-Suite-Common-Component-installation-
folder\conf.
6. On the executing node, re-create the database on the shared disk. Open the command prompt, then
enter the following command:
Command-View-XP-AE-Suite-Common-Component-installation-
folder\bin\hcmdsdbremake /cluster /databasepath target-folder-for-re-
creating-database
This processing restarts Command View XP AE Suite Common Component on the executing node.
7. Register the database contents backed up at step 3 in the re-created database. Open the command
prompt and then enter the following command:
Command-View-XP-AE-Suite-Common-Component-installation-folder\bin\hcmdsdbmove
/import /datapath storage-folder-for-backup-data
8. Stop Command View XP AE Suite Common Component on the executing node. Open the command
prompt and then enter the following command:
Command -View-XP-AE-Suite-Common-Component-installation-folder\bin\hcmdssrv
/stop
9. On the executing node, make sure that the automatic startup settings for the following services have been
canceled:
• HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
• HiCommandServer
• HiCommand Suite Common Web Service
• HiCommand Suite Single Sign On Service
• HiRDB/ClusterService_HD0
To cancel the automatic startup settings, choose Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and
then Services. Next, open the properties for each service, and then make sure that Startup type is
Manual. If Startup type is Automatic, change it to Manual.
10. Stop all Command View XP AE Suite software running on the standby node. Stop the products in the
following order:
• Tiered Storage Manager
For details on how to stop Tiered Storage Manager, see section
3-1-2 .
• Other products of the Command View XP AE Suite including Device Manager (HiCommandServer)
To stop Device Manager (HiCommandServer), choose Start, Programs, HP Command View XP AE,
Device Manager, and then Stop Server. For details on how to stop another product, see the manual
for that product.

Open the command prompt and enter the following command:
