• Possible Owners window. Ensure that the executing and standby nodes have been registered.
• Dependencies window. Add the Device Manager resource (HiCommandServer) to the Resource
dependencies column.
• Generic Service Parameters window. Enter the following information:
• Service name: TieredStorageManager
• Startup parameter: None
• Registry Replication window. None.
14. In Cluster Administrator, switch from the standby node to the executing node: Right-click the resource
group where the Device Manager service is registered, and then select Move Group.
15. Start the Tiered Storage Manager server.
In Cluster Administrator, right-click the resource group where the Device Manager service is registered,
and then select Take Online.
2-3-2 Reinstalling or Upgrading the Server
WARNING!
• Do not use the Windows Services Panel to start or stop Command View XP AE Suite software.
• Do not install Tiered Storage Manager and Tuning Manager (large database) on the same server.
To perform an overwrite/upgrade installation in a cluster configuration:
1. Start the Cluster Administrator: select Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and then
Cluster Administrator.
2. Place the following resources offline by right-clicking each resource, then selecting Take Offline:
• HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
• HiCommandServer
• HiCommand Suite Common Web Service
• HiCommand Suite Single Sign On Service
Ensure that the following resources are online:
• Shared disk
• Cluster management IP address
• Logical host name
• HiRDB/ClusterService_HD0
3. Stop the Command View XP AE Suite Common Component:
<Command-View-XP-AE-Suite-Common-Component-installation-folder>\bin\hcmdssrv
/stop
4. Right-click HiRDB/ClusterService_HD0, then select Take Offline.
5. Right-click each of the following resources, select Properties, select Advanced, then select Do not restart:
• HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
• HiCommandServer
• HiCommand Suite Common Web Service
• HiCommand Suite Single Sign On Service
• HiRDB/ClusterService_HD0
6. Install the Tiered Storage Manager server on the executing node. Refer to section
2-2-1 if you need
instructions.
7. Select Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and then Services. For each of the following
services, open Properties, and then make sure that Startup type is Manual:
• HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
• HiCommandServer
• HiCommand Suite Common Web Service
• HiCommand Suite Single Sign On Service
• HiRDB/ClusterService_HD0
8. In Cluster Administrator, switch from the executing node to the standby node by right-clicking the
resource group where the Device Manager service is registered, and then selecting Move Group.
