4. The reservation on the target volume is removed.
5. Data is deleted from the source volume (when this option is specified).
NOTE: Volume reservation is also removed in the following cases:
•
When a migration task is canceled
• When migration task fails
If you are unable to remove a volume reservation, refresh the storage subsystem.

1-3-1 Server Configuration
A management server must have both Tiered Storage Manager server and HP StorageWorks Command View
XP Advanced Edition Device Manager (abbreviated hereafter to Device Manager) installed, which includes the
Command View XP AE Suite Common Component. The information for these programs is managed by
databases called repositories, which are managed by the Command View XP AE Suite Common Component.
There are three types of repositories:
• Tiered Storage Manager repository manages the information defined for migration and the status of the
Tiered Storage Manager server.
• Device Manager repository manages information about the storage subsystems managed by Device
Manager.
• Command View XP AE Suite Common Component repository manages display data for display areas
common to the Web client.
Figure 1-3 shows the configuration of the management server.
