NOTE: You can collect all configuration information together if you register multiple information sources
with the Acquire the pair configuration managed by the Device Manager during the registration check
box cleared. For details about how to collect configuration information from multiple information sources
at once, see section
3-7 .
8. Click the OK button.
A dialog box requests confirmation of the information specified for adding the Device Manager server.
9. Select the checkbox that indicates confirmation of the specified information, and then click the Confirm
button.
A dialog box shows the progress of adding the Device Manager server. Once the processing is complete, a
dialog box indicates that the Device Manager server has been added.
NOTE: If Acquire the pair configuration managed by the Device Manager during the registration is
selected, configuration information is collected from the Device Manager server.
10. Click the Close button.
The dialog box indicating completion closes.
To change the information for a registered information source.
1. From the Explorer menu, select Settings and then Information Source.
An object tree from which you can select an information source appears in the navigation area, and an
information source list appears in the application area.
2. Select Device Manager from the object tree or from the list.
A list of registered Device Manager servers appears in the application area.
3. Click the icon to the left of the name of the Device Manager whose information you want to change.
A dialog box for changing the information registered in the Device Manager server appears. Enter the new
information in this dialog box. The remainder of this procedure is the same as for registering an information
source, except that you cannot specify whether to collect configuration information from the Device
Manager server.
NOTE: If you change the IP address or host name (Host ID) of the Device Manager server, or if you
change the protocol or port number, configuration information is collected from the Device Manager
server.
3-4-2 Registering a Business Continuity Manager as an information source
This section explains the procedure for registering a Business Continuity Manager as an information source. It
also explains the procedure for changing the information associated with an information source after the
information source has been registered.
To register a Business Continuity Manager as an information source:
1. From the Explorer menu, select Settings and then Information Source.
An object tree from which you can select an information source appears in the navigation area, and an
information source list appears in the application area.
2. Select Business Continuity Manager from the object tree or from the list.
A list of registered Business Continuity Managers appears in the application area.
3. Click the Add BCM button.
A dialog box for adding a Business Continuity Manager appears.
